Justice in Philippines: Inheritance, Business Law, Malpractice, Real Estate, Partnerships, Lawsuits, Collections, Immigration

Are you entitled to an inheritance in Philippines?  Are you looking for a lawyer/solicitor to help you with business transactions, partnerships, or to process a lawsuit?  As daunting as it may seem to research property, liens, and other claims – to collect funds from banks and insurance companies, and to settle an estate, to claim intellectual property, argue malpractice, taxation, etc. this directory will assist you in locating a qualified lawyer, solicitor or agent to secure the proper paperwork, direct you to local authorities and bureaus, to rightfully declare and collect your inheritance, and to process all other legal matters.

This course of action may be either handled completely by agents and lawyers in your current area of residence, without you having to visit Philippines, or you can work with Philippino authorities in person with the aid of local attorneys and agents.

Selling Property, Divorce/Child Custody, forming Partnerships and Trusts, transferring Ownership, Immigration, Intellectual Property, Lawsuits, etc.

Agents and attorneys listed may also include services for legal representation in all matters of business and private or personal relationships in addition to wills, probate, or inheritance : real estate purchase or sales, partnerships and other business ventures, immigration, case law related to torts, prosecution/litigation, family practice (child custody, divorce, etc.)  These matters should be handled by competent attorneys on both sides.  If you are a sole survivor, have business obligations, wish to declare intention to sell or buy property, intend to form business alliances in Philippines, wish to execute a will, research deeds, register for utilities and other services, or may need medical treatment, etc. this directory will help you find contacts here and abroad to represent you and aid in all manners of legal transactions.

Working Alone: Technical Comprehension

Even if you know conversational Philippino, in most cases it will not be enough to deal with the legal paperwork and more technical aspects of estates, contract law, insurance and banking requirements.  You must be completely fluent and capable of speaking, reading, and writing in technical/legal/medical Philippino in order to negotiate and communicate effectively.  While many Philippinos can speak conversational English, they too cannot explain effectively the technical aspects of your interests.

You must also locate the offices of the various governmental agencies and bureaus, understand their procedures, and move effectively between them.  This can often be a frustrating and time consuming action.  You will have to research times of operation, location of each agency, and work several back and forth negotiations (even ‘under the table’ compensation).  This taxes the time, stamina and patience of all who attempt to go it alone and can result in potential misunderstandings and mishandling of estate matters and Philippino law.

Time required for legal resolution, procedure

Proving your inheritance, establishing credentials, processing paperwork that may have to originate and be verified by an embassy or consulate, writing contracts for sale or purchase of property or other business assets and forming partnerships, resolving tax disputes, etc. all require time and effort that exceed standards normally expected in higher developed countries.  Each case has its unique merits and qualifiers, each country’s procedures and norms for timeliness vary greatly.  It is imperative to secure the services of licensed, regulated lawyers, agents, barristers/solicitors.

Qualifications: Attorneys, Barristers, Solicitors, Agents

You have the option of working long distance with local attorneys in you current country of residence who have contacts and working relationships in Philippines or to approach directly Philippino lawyers and agents over there.  The first course should be taken if you have only little or no ability to communicate effectively in Philippino, do not have the time to personally attend to matters, or may be unable to travel and drive/walk in Philippines due to medical conditions.  If you travel to Philippines and can communicate on a basic level, then you may be able to establish a relationship with a Philippino solicitor or agent.  Lawyers can speak basic to advanced English, but governmental agents often do not.  If you have any trustworthy relatives in Philippines who can recommend a reputable agent or attorney, this is your best first course.  Family and friends there can also direct you to the proper authorities with some help from local attorneys, or to assist in general business matters.  The offices listed in this directory must be verified by your embassy officials to make sure that no complaints or illegalities have ever been charged.  Be especially careful when writing Power of Attorney to local agents or attorneys.  This should be done only with the highest rated offices with years of experience and pristine records that have had proper admission, licensing, and regulation.  The owners of this website assume no liability for any negative outcome between agreements made with any persons listed herein.  Due diligence must be taken in all cases before entering into any contractual obligations or arrangement with offices listed in this directory.
